 PARK CLEANUP SERVED COMMUNITY

Each year, in October, Kiwanians from around the world join in a day of service to observe "West Valley Kiwanis One Day."  A good turnout of excellent volunteer workers picked up litter, pruned back vegetation, and raked leaves at West Valley Community Park.

Thanks to service project chair, Ken Irwin, Yakima Parks Technician Brian Flory, and the 39 adult/youth volunteers (WV High School Key Club and WV Middle-Level Builders Club) who made time (130 hours) to make a difference in our community!

SIGNATURE PROJECT MAKES A DIFFERENCE FOR KIDS!

We were happy to present the "big check" in the amount of $4,500 to West Valley Fair Board leaders Greg Boisselle and Mike Falon this week.  The donation represents all profits earned serving food during the West Valley Community Fair.  The money supports future West Valley Fairs that impacts hundreds of children each year.

Special thanks to the over 30 Club/community members who logged 300+ hours to complete this annual signature club project.

Ahtanum Valley Elementary School students and WV Kiwanis partnered to collect and donate over 1,600 food items to Triumph Services families yesterday.  We are thankful to the students, parents, and school staff for their generosity and support of others!
